Margurette Lear, 89, died March 8, 2001 at Wichita, Kan. She was born April 30, 1911 at Anthony, Kan., the daughter of John C. and Hoath Patterson.

She was a longtime Anthony resident and a homemaker.

Margurette married George W. Lear on Nov. 9, 1929 at Medicine Lodge, Kan. He died June 13, 1993. Others preceding her in death were her parents and a grandson.

She was a member of the Christian Church, Over the Hill Gang, Dorcus Group and Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, H.D. Lear of Anthony and Stanley Lear of Hutchinson, Kans.; two daughters, Patty Hoehler of Ponca City, Okla. and Aldean Young of Guthrie, Okla.; one step-sister, Juanita Armstrong of Anthony; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2001, at the Williams Funeral Home in Anthony. Burial will beat Forest Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time on Sunday at the Williams Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Christian Church Youth or the 1st Baptist Church Youth.
