Funeral services for Rudy Labus of Edmond, Okla., will be held Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001 at 6 p.m. at Community Funeral Home Chapel, Guthrie, Okla., with family and friends officiating.

Rudy was born Sept. 9. 1955, in Guthrie, to Rudolph and Dorthey (Fry) Labus. He died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001. Rudy was born in Guthrie where he attended school until he joined the US Army in 1972. He served four years at Ft. Sill. After leaving the Army, he returned to Guthrie and attended Central State for one semester. He then was employed with Autoquip as a painter and later as a machinist. Following that he worked for Baker Hughes as a machinist and programmer. Rudy married Winnie "Fay" Nealis on Oct. 22, 1988, in Mulhall at the Mulhall First Baptist Church. From 1990 until his death, he worked for Applied Industrial Machining as their CNC Programmer.

Rudy loved his children and his loving wife. His hobbies included bicycling, motorcycling and spending time on his computer. He loved riding bicycles with his daughters. You could say Rudy enjoyed living life to the fullest and he will be missed by his family and friends.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Fay of the home; one son, Nikolaus Albert of Guthrie; three daughters, Kara May, Tara Kay and Trudy Danae of the home in Edmond; one brother, Michael and wife Shelly and their children, Brittany and Anthony of Edmond; his mother, Dorthey (Labus) Del Rio and husband, Efren of Edmond, and his father, Rudolf, Sr. of Guthrie.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruda Lea Labus.
