Death of Mrs. Lee.

Sarah Louisa Lee, wife of City Marshal John W. Lee, died at her home in the northeast part of town, at 2 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, October 14, 1899, of typo-malarial fever. Her maiden name was George, and she was born in Webster county, Missouri, August 15, 1873. She and Mr. Lee were married February 2, 1890. They came to Mulhall November 4, 1897, where they have since resided. Five children were born to them, four of whom are now living.

Mrs. Lee became a member of the Christian church when only fourteen years of age. At the time of her death, she and her husband held membership with the congregation at Mulhall.

Funeral services were held in the M.E. church, Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. The sermon was by Elder Wm. Judd, and was very impressive. The remains were laid to rest in Rose Lawn cemetery.

A faithful Christian wife and mother has fallen asleep, and husband and children deeply mourn her absence. Those who knew her speak of her noble character and her fidelity to the church in which she had held membership twelve years.
