Word has been received of the death of former Logan County resident Elizabeth Lauren McCallister. Elizabeth's death occurred as a result of an automobile accident outside of Rotterdam, Netherlands on Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999. Funeral services will be in Rotterdam on Monday, Dec. 20, 1999. Memorial services will
be at the First Christian Church in Guthrie, Okla. at 2 p.m. Thursday Dec. 16, 1999. Elizabeth was born March 24, 1949 in Waltham, Mass. to Harold and Leora (Poteet) McCallister. She was a 1967 graduate of Guthrie High School, and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and the University of Denver School of Law. She then practiced law for a short time in Guthrie before being elected Associate District Judge for Logan County. She resided in the Netherlands since
1989 where she was most recently employed in the legal department of the ING
Bank of The Hague.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Jean. She is survived by her husband, Willem Maas of Rotterdam; daughters, Maggie Wade of Guthrie and Stephanie Lorance of Crescent; her parents of Guthrie; her sister, Ceilia
Stratton of Killeen, Texas; her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Wade of Guthrie and her
niece, Kelli Shafer of Stillwater.
