John Wesley McKenzie, born March 2, 1894, on the family homestead near Garden, Logan County, Oklahoma to Charles Wesley and Mary Ann Dill McKenzie. On November 13, 1919 he married Sarah Angeline Chandler, born April 22, 1901 in Leapwood, McNairy County, TN. to John Robert and Nancy Ann Tidwell Chandler. John died January 16, 1959. Angie died April 25, 1991. They are buried in Summit View Cemetery. One son, Kenneth, preceded them in death. Seven children survive: Loren, Owen, James, Fred, Vernon, Bonnie and Lavonne.
