Funeral services for Lloyd D. Miller, 74, of Enid were held ta 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Chapel in Enid with the Rev. David Walthall of Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Miller was born Oct. 26, 1928 in Mulhall to W. R. and Mary Hill Miller. He died Friday, May 9, 2003 in St. Mary's Hospital in Enid after a sudden illness.
He was the 11th of 12 children and attended both Mulhall and Guthrie school systems. On May 24, 1947, Lloyd married Betty L. Shipley in Guthrie. He worked for Fairmont Creamery for serveral years, then Baroid Mud Products for 34 years until his retirement in 1985. He also worked for W. B. Johnston Grain Co. from 1987 until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; two sons, Stan Miller and his wife Laura and Scott Miller and his wife Anne Marie, all of Enid; four daughters, Shirley Dills and Sheila Iverson and husband Mike, all of Enid, Sarah Rockey and husband David of Weatherford, Texas, and Sondra Garrett and husband Alford of Tuttle; grandchildren, J. D. Steven Strycker and Eddie Dills of Coyle, Rochelle Tucker, Dustin Etter, Alison Smith and Shane Etter, all of Dallas; Amy Livingston of Bartlesville, Jay and Max Miller of Enid, Nicole Teeer of Carrollton, Ohio, Jennifer, Jake and Cassie Garrett of Tuttle and April and Ashley Iverson of Enid; 12 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Thelmer and Raymond Miller; three sisters, Jettie Maxwell, Vera Boyce and Margie Westmoreland; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Miller, widow of Lawrence Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
Memorial may be made through the funeral home to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, diabetes division.
