Lois Miller, age 97, of Guthrie passed away February 24, 2006 at Golden Age Nursing Home. Services are pending under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home of Guthrie.

Services for Lois Owen Miller, 97, A Guthrie resident over 80 years were held Tuesday, February 28 at 11 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, 202 E. Noble, Guthrie, OK.
Arrangements were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. Mrs. Miller died Friday, February 24, 2006 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie. Born near Lamar, Arkansas in 1908, she moved with her family as a young girl to Guthrie where she attended Sunny Slope School. She later married Arley Miller who preceded her in death in 1979.
She became a nurse at the Benedictine Hospital and Baptist Memorial in Oklahoma City. In 1982, she created a custom baking business, "the Bread Basket." An avid quilter and passionate gardener, she won "Yard of the Week" several times. She loved traveling to visit her far flung family. She adored her special dogs, Muffin and Angie and her cat Whiskers. She treasured her cottage with the frilly curtains on Pembroke Lane. Her life spanned enormous changes in almost 100 years of world history. She will be forever in our hearts.
Suvivors include three daughters, Frances Macy and husband Phil, Gloria Adams, Jennie Reeves and husband Stuart, four loving grandchildren, Robin Macy and Amy Macy Tennant, Eric Miller Reeves and Lucy Reeves Wrubel, and four beautiful great granddaughters, Elizabeth Morgan, Miller Mac, Emma Joella, and Stella Virginia.
Memorials may be made to the Frontier County Historical Museum in Crescent, Oklahoma.
