Graveside services for Marie I. McGibbon, 88, of Edmond, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Friday,
Oct. 29, 1999 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Services will be
officiated by Rev. Dale L. DePue under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of
Guthrie. Marie was born Jan. 29, 1911 in Pocohontas, Ark., to Willett G. and
Mary I. (Brown) Brewer. She died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999 in Edmond. Marie had
lived in Oklahoma since 1928, moving here from Missouri. She was a housewife
and homemaker. Marie married Archie F. McGibbon on July 9, 1928 in Oklahoma
City. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1945. She also was preceded in death
by her parents, one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Bonnie McGibbon, and one
stepdaughter, Berneta Moore. Marie is survived by three daughters, Vera
Sanders and husband Bill, Betty Dutcher and husband Bennie, all of Edmond, and
Joyce Youngker and husband Joe of Perkins; two step-daughters, Avis Fansler
and husband Reg of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Sylvia Manley of Kingston, Okla; 16
grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
