W.H. MILLS DEAD.
The remains of W.H. Mills, who died at the hospital in Topeka Kansas May 2d, were received here on the 1:30 train Monday, his son, Glen Mills, accompanying them.
W.H. Mills was one of the pioneer settlers of old Oklahoma, coming with rush, April 22d, 1889, and has since resided first on the claim he then entered, afterward, for a while in Mulhall, then to his present home, five miles west. For four years past, he has been distressed more or less by kidney trouble. Last June, he was taken very seriously ill and was confined to the house a greater portion of the time, until about three months ago, when he obtained relief for a time and was again about; getting worse again, he went three weeks ago to Topeka, where an operation was performed for stone in the bladder; it is reported that two stones were found of large size. The operation was performed April 21st, and he died May 2d of septicaemia or blood poisoning, following the operation.
Mr. Mills was born fifty-eight years ago at Pomeroy, Meigs County, Ohio. He leaves a wife, who is an invalid, and seven living children. Three of the children are yet at home. Mrs. Christ, a married daughter living in Parkland, was present at the funeral: word was received from others at a distance that they could not be present. Friends and neighbors were here to take charge of the remains and take them to his late residence and from thence to their last resting place in Victor cemetery.
The deceased was well known in this community; his services as a veternary were in great demand. He was a man of good character and many will regret to hear of his death. The funeral was conducted by Rev. J.W. McNally, who preached from the text, "It Is Appointed Unto Man Once to Die."

SKELETON ITEMS.
Mr. Mills passed away, Saturday night, after long suffering. The bereaved family has the sympathy of their many friends.
