Mrs. R.M. Nickerson
Submitted by: Debby Cook

The Mulhall Enterprise
Friday, March 20, 1903

District 47
This vicinity was greatly shocked last Friday morning by the announcement of the sad and sudden death of Mrs. Marshall Nickerson. Mrs. Nickerson departed this life after a brief illness of only two days. She leaves behind her a husband, three daughters and two sons, and many other relatives to mourn her loss. The Nickerson family have only lived in this vicinity a short time, but during that time they have gained a large circle of friends who will join them in mourning for one so dear to their hearts. A son and sister of Mrs. Nickerson were telegraphed for but could not reach here in time for the funeral. For that reason only a few words and a song were rendered at the grave, the sermon being postponed until their arrival.

Mrs. R.M. Nickerson who has resided on a farm four miles northeast of Mulhall died quite suddenly last Friday night. She had not been feeling well for a short time but no one thought of so sudden a taking off. She leaves a husband and several children. The burial took place at the Orlando cemetery near where the family were preparing to move on a farm, when the wife and mother was taken.
