Funeral services for Edwin Walter Oswald, 74, Enid, will be Monday, Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. at Abernathy Funeral Chapel, Rev. David Gant officiating. Interment will follow at Dover Cemetery.
Edwin was born April 10, 1929, in Crescent to Walter Harry Oswald and Bessie (Todd) Oswald. he was a veteran of World War II and a jet mechanic at Vance Airforce Base in Enid for 28 years. He died Jan. 1, 2004, in Enid.
Edwin is survived by five children: Gloria Webber, Edmond, Carol Lewis, Enid, Ricky Klein, South Carolina, Linda Bitner, Canton, II and Teresa Schaefer, Enid; two brothers: LeRoy Houck, Tryon, and Dwayne Houck, Perry; two sisters; Juanita Henry and Ann McAlvain, both of Crescent; 11 grandchildren: Jhona, Courtney, Chris, Shawn, Tyler, Seirra, Samantha, Anthony, Ashley, Mark Megan and Stephen; and three great-grandchidlren; Weslee, Allyson and Stetson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Melva James and WIlma WIlliams; brother Wilbur Houck; and step-father Melvin Houck.
