Arthur W. Platt, 71-year old Spanish American war veteran died Sunday at the home of a son, 315 N. Cedar. Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Rev. Harold Enz, pastor and Rev. E. E. Holmberg, Crescent, will officiate and buril will be in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. Guthrie Lodge No. 35, AF & AM will be in charge of committal services and LeBron post of the American Legion will conduct military services at the grave.

Platt, whose home was at Ada, had been visiting here the past two weeks. He was a former Guthrie resident and served as deputy sheriff under Milo Beck here. He was a past mster of Guthrie lodge No. 35.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lula M. Platt, of the home at Ada; six sons, Cecil, Guthrie, Homer and A. W. Platt jr., Crescent; John, Borger, Tex., Howard and Carl, Ada; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Luton, Ada; Mrs. Marle Winch, Tullahoma, Tenn., two sisters, Mrs. Clara L. Craine, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Nettie Mephan, Houston, Tex, and 18 grandchildren.
