Gilbert Leon Payne, 50, of Guthrie, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, in Guthrie.
Gilbert married Patricia Lambright on Sept. 4, 1992 in Marietta, Okla. He was a member of the Crescent Assembly of God and an oilfield driller. Gilbert served in the U. S. Air Force and received an Honorable Discharge. He was an avid gardener and loved fishing and hunting. Gilbert looked forward to spending time with his family and children.
Survivors include his wife, Pat of the home; his mother Patsy Payne of Lone Grove; maternal grandmother Trillie Standridge of Lawton; the children's mothers Patsy Hembree and Sandra Payne; four sons, Michael of Oklahoma City, Jason and wife, Sally, and Mark Anthony of Marietta, and Zackary of Duncan; two stepdaughter, Jennifer N. Watson and husband, Steven, of Guthrie and Christy Dutton and husband, Clay, of Lubock, Texas; four grandchildren and two step grandchildren; five brothers, Steven of Lone Grove, Raymond and wife, Donna, of Ardmore, Joe and wife, Tammy, of Ratliff City, Robert and wife, Sheila, of Minnesota, and Philip of Healdton; four neices and one nephew.
