Funeral services for Lee Roy Pitchford, 73, of Crescent will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2001 at First Baptist Church of Crescent with the Rev. Marty Harkey officiating. Burial will take place in Crescent Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home.

Pitchford was born April 15, 1927 in Okemah to Barney C. Pitchford and Lillie Leora May Martin. He died January 29, 2001 in Oklahoma City.

He was an oil field worker.

Lee Roy married Judith Ann Cox on July 17, 1971. She preceded him in death December 2, 1998.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Dana Joyce Gilbert of Oklahoma City and Retha Pitchford of Crescent; three sons, Jerry Lee Pitchford, Larry Jackson Pitchford and Roy Dean Pitchford, all of Crescent; two stepsons, Richard Allen Gross andLeonard Bryan Gross, both of Crescent; one brother, Clifford Pitchford and wife, Reta, of Tulsa; one sister, Ruth Jackson of Tahlequah; one sister-in-law, Doris Pitchford of Tulsa; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
