Funeral services were held at the Guthrie First Christina church Monday at 2:30 p.m. for Tom Peacock, pioneer Guthrie resident who died Saturday afternoon at his home, 716 N. Wentz Blvd. A short illness preceded his death, followed from a paralytic stroke.
Rev. Garret W. McQuiddy, pastor of the Christian church officiated at the services. Members of Guthrie Lodge No. 10, I. O. O. F., Guthrie Lodge No. 35, A. F. & A. M. and the Modern Woodmen, with which Peacock was affiliated, attended the services. Burial was made at Summit View cemetery.
Surviving are Mrs. Peacock, five daughters, Mrs. Frank Early, Mrs. Harley Davis and Mrs. Glen Black of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Sam Hester, Guthrie and Mrs. Fred Mathers, Enid, and two sons Melvin Peacock, Oklahoma City and Orville Peacock, Chicago.
