Departed from this life July 8, 1896, Nannie Ready. She was born in Johnson county, near Olathe, in the year 1860, on Sept. 19. She confessed her faith in Christ at the age of 14 years. She lived the life of a Christian as well as she could. She came to Oklahoma for her health, and died at her father's home. She took her stand with her husband in the Baptist church. She has left the assurance that she has gone to that beautiful home that is prepared for the faithful; where sickness and pain never comes. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Mizee. She leaves husband, father, mother, four sisters, two brothers and six children to mourn her loss. Her funeral text was "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord, for they shall rest from their labor and their works shall follow them," Her age was 35 years, 10 months and 19 days.
