Bernie Edward Robinson died February 9, 2007 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 2 days. He was born October 7, 1915 in Cement, Oklahoma to Estus and Rosa Mae (Igo) Robinson. On May 25, 1940 he married Deloris Story in Edmond, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on November 7, 2005. Bernie began teaching school in Grady and Caddo counties before becoming a Principal and then a Superintendant. Bernie was a member of the First Christian Church of Moore and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deloris; one sister, Estelle Tilley; one brother, Leslie Robinson; and one grandson, Brooks Robinson. Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Ross of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, Sharon Spence of Oklahoma City, Saundra Goodrich of Oklahoma City and Debbie Conrad of Oklahoma City, one son, Gary Edward Robinson of Lindsay, Oklahoma, one sister, Mildred Cole of Chickasha, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral services to celebrate his joy-filled life will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the First Christian Church of Moore with Pastor Joe Wingfield officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Oakview Cemetery in Lovell, Oklahoma, under the direciton of Abernathy - Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
