Milas Stewart Dies
Services for Milas A. Stewart, 87, retired farmer, will be held in the Guthrie Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Crescent Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home.
Stewart, whose home was at 619 E. Oklahoma, died Friday (Oct 11, 1974) at Logan County Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1887 in Ogallala, Neb., (son of Andrew T. and Mary Emma Bomgardner Stewart) and had lived in Guthrie for 20 years, moving here from Ponca City. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served as an elder.
Survivors are his wife, Gailys, of the home; one daughter Mrs. Ireta Knittle, Ketcham; three sons, Lorne Stewart, Mulhall; Paul Stewart, Edmond; and Jesse Stewart Ponca City; one sister, Mrs. Ina Ruby, Perry; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be George Bond, Aud Wilbanks, Gerold Allen, C. W. McEwen, D. D. Wallar and George Willson.
