ACTON NEWS
Died, at the home of J.J. Woods, in Woodland township, Logan county, William Strickland, aged 76 years and five months. He was afflicted with Brights disease. He passed quietly away at 7 o'clock in the morning, with his wife and son Eugene, and his married daughter, Mrs. J.J. Woods, at his bedside, besides numerous friends who had gather in. Mr. Strickland came to Oklahoma last summer for his health. He has suffered for several years from stomach and kidney trouble. The deceased was a kind husband and father. His remains were shipped to Kansas for burial at his old home, where other children live. We sympathize with the lonely wife and children.
