Everett Verdell Taylor, 67, of Guthrie died at his residence, 3250 Bear Creek Tail, on September 15, 2003. Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian Fellowship International, 1500 SW 32nd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73119.
Everett was born in Oklahoma City on March 5, 1936 to John T. Taylor and Mary (Watts) Alford. He was married to Donna R. McLaughlin on December 29, 1969 in Norman, Oklahoma.
He served in the U. S. Army for 3 years and served in Germany during that time. He married Donna and they moved to Guthrie in 1980 and remained here until his death.
Everett was a member of the non-denominational bible fellowship of Christian Fellowship International. His occupation was a sign painter. He was also involved with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 4578.
Everett is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; one son; Scott Taylor and wife Elizabeth Ann (Beth) of Guthrie; one stepson and two stepdaughters, and one grandchild, Ryan Everett Taylor. He is also survived by one brother; Floyd, of Oklahoma City and one sister, Dortha L. Taylor.
Everett loved to teach dancing and taught all styles. He was a good sign painter and had painted most of his life. He has gone now to his new home in Heaven. He was loved by his family and will be missed by all who knew him. No services are planned at this time. Family and friends can express their condolences at a later date with notification from the family.
