G.W. Trout died in the hospital at Wichita from the wound received while trying to escape the officers. The wound was a severe one shattering the bones of his leg. Amputation on his arrival at Wichita might have saved his life. He leaves a wife and three children, a girl 15 years old, two boys 12 and 7 year old. His life was insured for $5000, $4000 goes to his family, the balance to the estate.
