DEAH OF MARTHA M. TUBBS
The funeral services for Martha M. Tubbs, who died Saturday morning at the residence of her son H. C. Olds, 223 S. First Street, were held at Lawn View, Noble county, yesterday and she rests beside the body of her husband in the cemetery there.
Her many friends paid their last respects on Sunday at her home in this city, where a short service was held, the Rev. Nichols, of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. The services closed with the regular ceremony of the W. C. T. U., of which the deceased was an active member for years and all testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held.
At Lawn View, where the deceased had lived for nearly twenty ears, the entire community came to pay their last respects. The schools in two districts were closed, and the large church was crowded. The kindness and sympathy of the neighbors there was a revelation and a comfort to those who mourn, and will never be forgotten. Rev. Charles Murphy, State Congregational Superintendent and a long time friend of the deceased preached the funeral discourse and his beautiful message of her to those left behind will long be remembered. The body was laid at rest under flowers and shrubs that were planted by the deceased and her purl soul has rejoined the loved ones that have passed to the other shore.
Her immediate family wish to thank the many friends of this city and those at Lawn View, for the many kindness' and neighborly acts, and will always hold in sacred remembrance the sympathy and help extended in this their hour of sadness.
