Funeral services for Earl Leon Willson, 73, of Crescent were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2003 at First United Methodist CHurch in Crescent with the Rev. Roger Pitt officiating. Burial followed in Oakland-Knowles Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home.
Willson was born June 26, 1929 in Guthrie to Harry V. and Eva (Yates) Willson. He died June 14, 2003 in Crescent.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 200 and a member of the Farmer Service Agency committee for many years. He managed Edmond's farmer's market for 16 years.
He married Dorothy Skinner on Dec. 17, 1954 in Crescent.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; four sons, Jon C. Willson and wife Debbie of Midland, Texas, Jay A. Willson and wife Lynell of Edmond, Joe L. Willson of Moore and Jeff H. Willson and wife Kim of Ripley; two brothers, Harry Willson, Jr. and wife Jo of Crescent and Charles Willson and wife Jean of Bethany; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
