Funeral services for Gerald L. "Bud" Welch were held at 4 p.m. Monday, May 19 at the Hadley Funeral Chapel. Welch, 66, of Visalia passed away May 13, 2003. He was born April 3, 1937 in Guthrie to Nolan and Myrtle Welch and was raised in Guthrie and Tryon. He married Lois Ellen Gunter in Guthrie in February 1955 and they moved to California and Visalia that same year.
He was precded in death by his wife, Lois in 1992. He is survived by his son Kerry Welch and wife Debbie, grand-daughters Samantha and Sarah of Visalia, Sisters Georgia McDonald of Ardmore, Oklahoma, June Thomason of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Arena Jones of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers Bill Welch of Guthrie, Don Welch of Comanche, Texas and Doug Welch of Denton, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
