Graveside services for Marguerite (Mickey) Elizabeth Wright were Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999 at Hunter, Okla. Services were officiated by her son-in-law Deacon Roy Ellison of Guthrie and her great-nephew Rev. Tommy Woodard of Frisco, Texas under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie.
Mickey was born May 8, 1927 in Lawton, Okla. to Helen and Harold Disney. She passed away Oct. 15, 1999 at Mercy Hospital after a short illness.
She married Bud Griggs in 1944 and moved to Guthrie in 1953.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother and husbands Bud Griggs and Charles Coble.
She married Curtis C. Wright on Jan. 30, 1998.
She is survived by her husband Curtis C. Wright; two daughters, Sara Blair and husband Dale and Susie Ellison and husband Roy; one son, Ron Griggs and wife Pat; mother Doris Disney; one sister Helen Fisher and husband Darwin; one brother, Bill Disney and wife Ruby; three step-daughters, Marilyn Herndon and husband Gene, Carlene Monroe and husband Johnnie, and Diana Dewart and husband Robert; one step-son Curtis Wright Jr. and wife Kim, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mickey took great delight in her family and friends. She loved to dance, travel and spent many hours doing genealogy research on all branches of the family. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Guthrie.
