Second Charge
Dr. A. H. Yates of Konawa was arrested last Wednesday on a criminal warrant charging him with having performed a criminal operation on Miss Katherine Cross, who died at Konawa, Wednesday of last week. The complaint was by county Attorney Al G. Nichols, who has been at Konawa for several days investigating the case. Dr. Yates was brought to Wewoka Wednesday night by Sheriff Frank Grall and lodged in the county jail.
This is the second case of this character with which Dr. Yates is charged. He was arrested about two months ago on a charge of having performed an operation on a young school teacher from Seminole, from the effects of which she died. Fred O'Neil was jointly charged with Yates, and the two are now under bond to answer a charge of manslaughter.
