This is a picture of the two Cannings who made the Land Run of 1889 who had 13 children: William and Mary Etta Swartout Canning with two of their Grandchilden from their daughter Winnie Viola Canning who married Guy Hopkins. The Grandchildren are Gladys May Hopkins and Jessie C. Hopkins. Winnie was the one my mother Viola Canning Wilson was named after and Winnie died March 1, 1902. Gladys married Lowel Houghton and had one child Lowel Houghton Jr. who is deceased. Jessie married and had one child Jenne Carol Hopkins.
