My father's name was Gilbert Wayne Sharp, his father was
Harm Henry Sharp. Both are buried in Mounds, Ok.
I've been told they came to Ok from Ark. (do not have dates)
Some of the places I've heard about are Mt. Pleasant, Cushman and Cove City, Ark., but no proof they lived there.
H H Sharp's 2nd wife was named Anna, dont have a maiden name.
He had a son from his 1st marriage named Elmer Corbit Sharp, who is also deceased and is buried in Beggs along with his wife Lilly.
Grandpa Sharp belonged to the Oddfellows Organization and lived in Beggs, Ok, when he died.
Please let me know if anyone out there has ever heard of him or has information as to how I can continue the search.
Thank you,
June Sharp

MANN
I am the granddaughter of John F. Mann of Briartown, Muskogee County, OK. John arrived
in Briartown sometime in 1910 with his 4 children, traveling from Murray County. He worked
for Midland Valley Railroad. January 1911, he married Noma Eperson of Briartown. In Nov of 1911,
John was killed in a train accident. He is buried in Briartown. I can't seem to find where he was
buried.
However, this is the wall! I know John was born in Texas but I have no information to connect him to
his parents -- thus can go no further back. I have sent to the state for his death certificate -- hopefully
one exists, which may have his place of birth. Additionally, the Marriage Certificate indicates John and Noma
were married by W.C. Sisk, Minister of the Gospel Freewill B....... (can't read it) would anyone know if there was
a church in Briartown of this denomination? If so who today would have those records?
Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

At least two of their daughters, Sarah Elizabeth and Susie, were born in
Muskogee County. Other children included Estella, Flora, Laura, Dennis
Jefferson, and James Alexander. I've been told that Virginia died in
childbirth with Susie on Jan. 27, 1883, maybe in Webbers Falls. No one knows
where she is buried. Any bit of information that might lead to more about
Virginia would be deeply appreciated. Thanks--

LILLARD and HIGHNIGHT
I am looking for any information on my grandparents - Thomas Jefferson Lillard and Lilas Fern Hignight.
Thomas Jefferson Lillard was a practicing attorney in Wagoner and he and Lilas (along with Lilas's son
Ray) moved to Henryetta sometime between 1930 - 1931.
Thomas's date of death has been recorded by a cousin as March 16,
1940 but my father contests that date. He says that he remembers his father
dying on Washington's birthdate because they weren't in school that day.
He was only 6 when his father died so maybe some memories have been confused.
Lilas Fern Hignight Lillard died on March 8, 1950 of cancer.
I am looking for any information on them. I am particularly
interested in any photographs since I never got to meet either
of them and my father has no family photographs.

school. The town had a post office, two cotton gins, a race track, and two
stores all of which were gone in the 1940's. Any ideas where I could get

CLARK/YOSS
I am looking for my paternal grandmother. Her name was Amanda Clark.
To the best of my knowledge she was 1\4 Cherokee indian , I believe she was probably born in the 1870 s. probably around 1877-1878,
She was married to my grandfather, John Yoss, around 1906-1907. My father was born in 1907 in McAlester. Okla.
I was told that her mother's name was Jane. I also was told by my brother that he though that her mother's maiden name may have been Blassingame. But we are not sure about that. So I am checking everything at this point.
As you can see, I do not have much to go on, but I feel very optomistic that someone may have found something in a bible on this lady.
