Cooper E. Davis Dies After Brief Illness Here
Cooper E. Davis former clerk of the federal court here, died at his home in the Ramyond building yesterday. He was 76 years old.
Davis came here from McAlester in 1929. He has always been active in democratic party circles, and was registrar of the downtown precinct, 31 A, at the time of his death.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Minnie Davis; three sons, Allen Edwin Davis of St. Louis Mo; James Arthur Davis of Littleton, Colo. And Cooper Edwin Davis, Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Burnett, of Waynesville, Mo, one brother, William Elbert Davis of McAlester, Okla., and two sisters; Mrs. Minnie Lucand, of Van Buren, Ark., and Mrs. Edna McElroy, of Atoka, Okla., several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Agent Chapel, Monday morning at 10 o'clock, with interment in Greenhill Cemetery.
