Birth and Death Records

Birth and death records are not kept at the county level.

Certified copies of Oklahoma birth and death records are available at the Oklahoma State Department of Health Vital Records Service.

Births and deaths were first recorded by the Division of Vital Statistics in the latter part of October l908.

Marriage and Divorce Records

All marriage and divorce records in Oklahoma are on file with the court clerk of the county in which the marriage or divorce was granted.

If your ancestor married or divorced in Muskogee County, the Muskogee Public Library has marriage and divorce records on microfilm. Also see "Libraries" for how to obtain them.
