Sylva M. Braden was born May 17, 1913 to Willis and Ethel Morgan in Avery, Texas. She died February 19, 2001 in Denison, Texas at the age of 87 years.

Silva had been a resident of Antlers for the past 30 years. She attended Souls Harbor Church from 1975 to 1997 and a member of Victory Life Assembly of God Church in Rattan from 1997 until her demise. She was a housewife that enjoyed fishing, writing poetry, traveling, and reading her Bible.

She is survived by a son: Donnie of Dennison, TX; daughter: Marcelle Straub; her brother: John L. Morgan of Texas; 2 sisters: Gussie Medows of Alvarado, Texas and Ruth Allen of Texas; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband: Lloyd Braden; and 2 sisters: Elaine Pitts and Neville Morgan.

Funeral services were at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at the Mills & Coffey Chapel. Rev Kent Jensen officiated.

Pallbearers were: Gary Wiebers, Gene Holloway, Sid Couch, Jerry Hill, Robert Horner, and Chad Kirk.

Honorary pallbearers: Her grandsons, Terrill Coggins and Jack Kirk.

Burial in the Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers, Okahoma.
