Son of Mrs. Lloyd C. Harper, Mutual, graduated from Mutual highschool, took cadet examination in October, 1943, and inducted January 14, 1944, trained at Sheppard Field, Cedar City, Utah, Merced and Mather Fields, Calif., Carlsbad, N. M., and now at the Cadet Center, San Antonio, Texas.

Inducted into service Jan. 1943 and sent to Europe Jan. 1945, now in Germany serving chaplain's assistant, Eng. H. group. He is the son of Mrs. Mabel Keller. His wife, the former Regena Black, lives at 1902 8th. When inducted Keller as an accountant at Stock Exchange Bank.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Keltch, Sharon, in service five years - stationed on the East coast a year and a half before he was sent to the Pacifictheater of war where he has since served.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Kightlinger of Quinlan, early this year was awarded the ponze star for meritorious achievement in connection with military operations at Lae, Nassau, Sio and Saidor, New Guinea from June 30 to Mar. 7, 1944.

Enlisted December 19, 1940, and is now in the Pacifictheater for several months. He is the son of Mrs. Helen Kirk, Woodward, and was reared here and attended the Woodward schools.

The son of Rev. and Mrs. C. A. Kurtz, Woodward, has been in service since March 6, 1944. Had boot training in California, now stationed at Morro Bay, Calif., where his wife and three daughters live. His two sons, Robert and Charles live in Woodward with his parents, and Uncle Chas. and Mrs. Kurtz.
LAFFERTY, Elbert Eugene, Coxs.
Enlisted Dec. 20, 1942, in Seabees; sailed Mar. 9, 1943 for pacific; spent 20 months in New Caledonia and Guadalcanal, and returned to west coast Nov. 7, 1944; given a six months leave before returning to the Pacific for further service. He is the son of Mrs. Anna Lafferty.

Enlisted Apr. 29, 1942' trained at Great Lakes, Ill., and San Francisco, Calif left the states Nov. 8, 1943, and has since been in service in Pacific theater with Dqds. Sqdn. Fleet Air Wing Four. He is 21 years old. son of Mrs. Anna Lafferty who lives in Winters, Calif.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ike LaFon, Woodward, left the States Nov. 9, 1944 for Europe, and is now stationed at Cariel, France, as pilot of a P-38 (reconnaissance photo). He has been in service 27 months.

Son of Mrs. Ruby Lahr. Graduate of Woodward highschool, and attended Junior college. entered the service April 5, 1944. In the campaigns of Marshall Islands, Guam and Okinawa.

30-year-old, entered the service Sept. 1940, with 45th Div. Received field commission on Anzio beachhead. Six months in English hospital recovering from wounds. Son of John Laubhan. Awarded Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Entered service Aug., '42, receiving his wings at Marfa, Texas Jan. 7, 1944. "Bob" completed 35 missions and with 85 points was discharged June 15, '45. His wife and daughter Sydney, reside at 1109 14th St. Son of John Laubhan.

21-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Leachman, Mutual, has been stationed in Hawaiian Islands since leaving the States, May 1, 1944. At the time of his induction, November 23, 1943, he was engaged in farming and stock raising.
LEAGUE, Paul B., Pvt.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter League, Mutual, was inducted into service in Nov. 1944, received 18 weeks training at Camp Robinson, Ark., before going to Fort Ord, Calif., where in April, 1945, he left the States and is now in a replacement depot in the Philippines. His wife and two children live in Wichita.

Crew Chief of a Thunderbolt group, 8th Air Force, entered France shortly after V-Day moved to a base in Germany to fly personnel. Holds Bronze Star and Presidential Citation for completing 100 missions without mechanical defects. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter League, Mutual.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Lockhart of Quinlan, volunteered in the Army Air Corps on October 26, 1940. He is a graduate of Freedom highschool. Late information concerning Cpl. Lockhart could not be obtained for this issue.

Entered service April 13, 1944. With 28th Inf. Div. of 1st Army and captured in December '44. Liberated April 2, he arrived home May 9th for a 60-day furlough. Wife and two children live at 715 Maple. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Manning, 1404 8th street.

Inducted into service Dec. 4, 1942, went overseas in October, 1943, and was assigned to Seventh Army, in quartermasters, and is now stationed in Marseilles, France, where he expects to be for some time. His wife lives in Woodward.

Has been in service more that five years, enlisting April 5, 1940; has served in the north and east Atlantic, before transferring last summer to the Pacific. He spent several months on a supply ship in Iceland and Ireland. Chief Petty Officer Marston is the son of Mr and Mrs. M. L. Marston, Woodward.

Son of the C. O. McCaslins, Sharon. Served 15 months with 15th Air Force in Italy as nose gunner on B-24; completed 50 missions; awarded air medal, three Oak Leaf Clusters, E.T.O. Ribbon with one star, good conduct and presidential citation.
McDANIEL, Leo Leo McDaniel was Navy bound in January. Trained at the Great Lakes Station, Illinois. He is now in the Pacific war zone. McDaniel's home is Woodward.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred McDonald, entered service June 19, 1943. A commerical pilot before attending OMA and rated 7th Air Corps. Now in New guinea area, past 18 months technical chute rigger. 23-year-old, is the only son of Mrs. R. F. McNeil, Woodward, is serving on the Isle of Trinidad in ordanance department, going to Pacific 27 months ago. Before going into service three years ago, he was employed with a construction crew on the Fort Supply Dam.

Was inducted into the service in July, 1944, basic at Clearwater, Fla., then a course in air mechanics, and after completing this, remained for several months as instructor; entered officers candidate school at Miami, and after receiving his commission was sent to Tinker Field, as weights and balance officer; then served with a cold weather testing detachment at Ladd Field, Alaska, now at Watertown, S. D.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Meigs, Mutual, entered service Oct. 1942, sent to Memphis, Tenn. for military training, later look cadet training and in Jan. 1945, transferred to Infantry and sent to Germany where he served with Patton's Third army until end of war. He is now in Austria.

Entered service in October, 1942 and was first trained as a glider pilot; transferred to the Fifth Training Film preparation group, and stationed at Sheppard Field, Texas and Kessler Field, Miss. before going to Bolling Field, Washington, D. C., with Second Air Base unit. His wife and baby son live in Washington. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Mendenhall live at Mutual, where he was born and reared.

Is ground school instructor at Lubbock, Texas Army Air Field since August 1942, after coming from San Antoino, Texas, as instructor. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Mott, Woodward, he had been superintendent of several county schools, but was manager of Williams Auto at Mooreland when he entered service. His wife and daughter, Gordena are with him at Lubbock.
MOYERS, Teddy L., Lt.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Trotter, Sharon. Graduate of Sharon highschool. Joined Air Corps in March, 1943. Was flight pilot one year in Panama. Age 20. Now somewhere in India.

19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. William O. Mullins of Quinlan, is a radio man aboard his A. T. C. ship in the Pacific theater of war. He entered service June 5, 1944, and left the States six months ago.
MYERS, James R., Lt.
Enlisted Aug. 29, 1940 and assigned to the medical Dept. Vet. Corps. On Nov. 23, 1942, he was sent to the Pacific for service on Makins Island, and later at Hawaii, where he is now stationed. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Myers of Mutual, with whom he made his home.

Enlisted Fepuary, '43 and now in Italy. When last heard from was doing fine. Son of Mrs. George Garrett, 4th street; Ralph was a valued employee at the Earl Nelson Tire Shop prior to his induction.

In service since October 26, 1942 when he enlisted while employed at the Armour Creamery, is now stationed at the Pampa, Texas, army air field as crew chief of a B-25 group. His wife, Mrs. Grace Nix, Bell Telephone chief operator, lives in their home at 1218 18th street.
