Allene R. Ehrlich Kelln Albers 79 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, August 30, 2008 in the St. Mary‚s Hospital in Enid. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 in the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Allene Rose (Ehrlich) Kelln Albers was born at the family farm southwest of Shattuck, Oklahoma on February 6, 1929 to John and Hannah (Meier) Ehrlich.

Allene was an active member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Woodward. She was also very active in the Red Hat Society, Lucky Dozen Club, Cancer Support Group, and the American Society of Germans from Russia. Allene did volunteer work at the Woodward Hospital and enjoyed the wonderful activities and fellowship at the Woodward Senior Center. Allene owned and operated the Albers Country Steakhouse in Buffalo for a number of years. She lived a long and rich life filled with lots of interests and many friends who loved her dearly.

She is survived by her two sons, Wayne Kelln and his wife Carolyn of Kankakee, Illinois; and Vernon Kelln of Shattuck; six siblings, Jake Ehrlich and wife Alta of Delaware; Harry Ehrlich of Fritch, Texas; Ralph Ehrlich and wife Charlotte of Shattuck; Bill Ehrlich and wife Dessie of Wichita, Kansas; LaVeta Dougherty and husband Garry of Maize, Kansas; Leo Ehrlich and wife Donna of Rose Hill, Kansas; her step-children, Brad Albers of Edmond; Bill Albers and wife Sheryl of Azle, Texas; two grandchildren Niki Kelln Robinson and husband Brian of Manteno, Illinois; Jesse Kelln of DeKalb, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Alec Robinson; six step grandchildren, Jonathan and Ashley Rush; Adam Jacobson; Christopher, Kyle and Matthew Albers; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Marie and Lenora and her husbands, Huldrich Kelln and Herbert A. Albers and step daughter Cari Rush.

In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial contributions may be made in Allene‚s name to Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
