Otis M. Bailey, 86 year old father of Mrs. Frances Bohard of 2306 Main Street, Woodward, died Friday, Jan. 12, 1968 in the Woodward Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Evangelical United Brehtren church. Rev. Edward Enns, pastor of the church, officiated and burial under the direction of the Stecher Mortuary was in Elmwood Cemetery. Otis Montgomery Bailey was born at Mormon Town, Iowa, on June 18, 1881, in 1893 he moved to what is now Harper County and on May 3, 1905, he was married to Elizabeth Jane Harsha and she proceded him in death in 1948. In 1932, he moved to Miller, Mo., where he lived until 1944 when he moved to Johnston City, Ill. In 1962 he moved to Woodward to make his home with his daughter, where he has lived since that time. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church of Woodward. Survivors are two sons; Earl Bailey of San Gabriel, Calif., and R. C. Bailey of Nawin, Vietnam; two daughter, Mrs. Frances Bohard of Woodward and Mrs. Gertrude Garner of Grand Island, Neb. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
