Graveside services for Rusty Beman, 61 year old Woodward resident will be Tuesday, October 24, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service. As requested by his family there will be no public viewing. Friends may call on Monday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to sign the memorial book.

Russell Grant "Rusty" Beeman was born February 3, 1939 at Shattuck, Oklahoma to Albert and Annabell (Smalley) Beeman. Rusty grew up in Buffalo and attended the Buffalo Grade School. He was enrolled in the Oklahoma Military Academy through high school and one year of college. In 1958, he enlisted in the U. S. Army and was discharged in 1962. Rusty was married to Dixie McDaniel on December 10, 1966 at Buffalo and they made their home in Woodward. He was a member of Laverne Valley Masonic Lodge #45 of Laverne and the First Christian Church of Buffalo. In his leisure time, Rusty enjoyed watching football games and horse racing.

Rusty died Saturday morning Oct 21, 2000 at his residence in Woodward.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

Rusty is survived by his wife, Dixie, of the home; two step-sons, Ronnie McDaniel of Oklahoma City and Terry McDaniel of San Antonio,Texas; a brother, James Beeman of Aurora, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Wanda Bevers and her husband Marlin, of Woodward; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, Kresten McDaniel and Cara Sterrett, other relatives and friends.

Death Notice

Funeral services for Russell Grant Beeman, 61-year-old Woodward resident who died at his home on October 21, 2000 will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden Chapel of Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Woodward.

This notice is to correct information regarding the place of service. The obituary had stated a graveside service would be held at Elmwood cemetery, and has changed to the funeral home Garden Chapel.
