Woodward, Okla. Tom A. Bourland Sr., 66 year old Laverne resident, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel in Woodward with the Reverend Mark Kurzel officiating. Full military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the United States Air Force.

Thomas Albert Bourland Sr. was born March 6, 1942 at his grandmothers home in Sacramento, California; he was the son of Lawerence Luther and Lola Mae (Hudson) Bourland. He grew up on a ranch and was very active in 4-H and FFA, winning lots of state fair ribbons. Tom graduated from high school in 1960 and loved restoring old cars. Tom was united in marriage to Pam Bourland and to this union two children were born, Tammy and Tommy. He joined the Air Force and this was his greatest passion besides his children. Tom married Dora "Wanda" Robertson and to this union three children were born, Kammi, Tommy, and Steve. Tom became a wheat farmer after his years in the service. He joined the National Guard and worked as a mechanic in the oilfield. Tom was married to Deana O'Hare in 2005 and they have made their home in Laverne.

Tom always worked and was very popular with his friends.

Survivors include his wife Deana Bourland of Laverne; daughters Tamara of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kammi Robertson and fiancee Bobby Alsobrook of Woodward; sons, Thomas Albert Jr; Steven Wayne and wife Amber all of Woodward; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Samantha, Azia and Melanie; four sisters, Susan Lorene McHale and husband Micheal; Linda Ann Hunt; Lola Carol Sutherland and husband Rick; Zena Ebner and husband Tim; one brother Skip Bourland and wife Karen; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Tommy Bourland; two brothers, Curtis Bourland, Laurence Bourland; his second wife Wanda Bourland ; one nephew Richard Skillrud and one granddaughter Jayme Bourland.
