Dolores "Babe" Borth

Dolores "Babe" Borth, 88-year-old Fargo resident, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 in the Fargo United Methodist Church with the Rev. Aaron Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Fargo Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Dolores Ruth Morehart Borth was born on Feb. 22, 1919 at the Salt Flats near Selman, Okla. to Frank A. and Gladys (Heaton) Morehart. She was reared in the Harmon community on the family farm. Dolores attended country schools graduating from Fargo High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Herman G. Borth on January 1, 1939 in Woodward, Okla. To this union they were blessed with three children, Rella Jo, Larry Dean, and Janet Sue. They made their home on the J.O. Selman Ranch where Dolores worked as a cook. They later moved to the farm north of Fargo, where they raised their family. Dolores worked for a short time at Western State Hospital in Ft. Supply. Dolores and Herman started a Grade A Dairy Farm, operating it until their retirement. They moved to Woodward for a short time before building their current home in Fargo. They enjoyed spending their winters in Truth or Consequences, N. M. Herman preceded her in death on February 1, 1999.

She was a member of the Fargo United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Nimble Thimble Quilting Group, the Monday Lunch Group, the Good Sam's R.V. Club, the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge. Dolores enjoyed working on all kinds of crafts and paintings and loved having her family around her. She enjoyed having coffee with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Rella Latta and husband John of Ft. Supply; Sue Cosgrave and husband Roy of Fargo; Larry Borth and wife Brenda of Fargo; nine grandchildren, Rhonda Hurley of Woodward; Rod Borth of Fargo; Ray Borth and wife Sharla of Woodward; Phillip Latta of Edmond; Jeff Latta and wife Minka of Victoria, Texas; Brian Latta and wife Gina of Haysville, Kansas; Jay Bogdahn and wife Shelly of Fargo; Joey Bogdahn and wife Stephanie of Moline, Kan.; Mark Cosgrave and wife Patty of Woodward; 20 great grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister Betty Latta of Woodward; one brother Franklin Morehart of Fargo; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, and two sister Ethel Woods and June Garrett.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fargo United Methodist Church Memorial Garden with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
