James E. "Bohan" Bowman, 52-year-old resident of Woodward, died Feb. 26, 2007 from a truck accident at Uvalde, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church with Gordon Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Zwanziger Funeral Home. James E. "Bohan" Bowman was born Dec. 3, 1954 at Amarillo, Texas to Lee and Evelyn (Wafford) Bowman. He graduated from Vici High School. Bohan married Nita D. "Miller" Thurston April 6, 1979 at Enid, Okla. Bohan was driving truck for AMA Trucking Co. when the accident occurred. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, horseback riding and boating, but most of all being with his family and friends. Bohan will be missed by all. He is survived by two daughters, Angie Highfill and husband Jim and Rusti Diane Geer, both of Woodward, by his mother Evelyn Bowman, Vici, Okla., a brother Gary Bowman, Vici, Okla., three sisters, Sue Freeman, Woodward, Bobbie Bowman, Vici, Okla., and Marie Donley, Chester, Okla., three grandchildren, Lance Highfill, Tristyn Lewis and Mya Bo Geer all of Woodward. Bohan was preceded in death by his wife Nita Bowman, his father Lee Bowman and by a sister Linda Johnson.
