Shelly Kay Brothers, 54, formerly of Cottonwood Falls, Kan., died July 15, 2006 at the Woodward Regional Hospital in Woodward.

Shelly Kay, daughter of Howard A. Wright and Willadean Shelebarger, was born Jan. 25, 1952, at Plainville, Kan. She married Rodger Brothers Dec. 31, 1969. She was a cook's helper in food service.

Shelly is survived by a son, Josh Brothers, Emporia, Kan.; three daughters Christi Brothers; and twins, Emily and Sarah Brothers, all of Cottonwood Falls, Kan.; her mother Willadean Blackmore of Cottonwood Falls, Kan.; two brothers Gary Drawbridge and wife Anita and Billy Wright both of Woodward; three sisters, Patsy Cutsinger and husband Gary; Peggy Wright of Cottonwood Falls, Kan. and Anne Morris of Macon, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Shelly was cremated and buried at a private service, July 19, 2006 at Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Rick Smith of the First Baptist, Cottonwood Falls officiated.
