Charles W. Burk III passed away at his home in Colorado Springs on Dec. 12, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; his children, Alisha Powers, Vida Burk, Corina Ingram, Kimberly Robinson and Martin Smith. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; siblings, Eva Foale, Joe Wayne Robertson, Susan Klocker and Tim Burk, step-mother Gwen Burk and numerous nieces and nephews. "Sonny" was born on Feb. 12, 1947 in Woodward, Okla. to Charles and Vida McDowell Burk who preceded him in death along with two brothers and one sister.

Sonny was a 1966 graduate of Air Academy High School. He loved hunting and fishing; was a member of Jordan‚s Crossing Church. By far his greatest joy in life came from his family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 1621 Downs Ave. Woodward OK 73801.
