Amanda (Arnold) Canfield
July 22, 1883 - May 30, 1974

Mrs. Canfield Dies Thursday; Services Set

Funeral services for Mrs. Lester L. (Amanda) Canfield 90 year-old resident of 601 Sixth street will be at 2 pm Saturday in the Chapel of Stecher Mortuary. The Rev, Max Wolfe, pastor of the First Christian church will officiate. Burial, under the direction of the Stecher mortuary, will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward, OK.

Amanda Arnold, was born at Johnston City, Kans, on July 22, 1883, and died May 30, 1974, early this morning in Woodward Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. On December 7, 1904 at Chandler, OK she was married to Lester Lockwood Canfield, and he preceded her in death on Sept 2, 1954. In 1904 they moved to a homestead near Sharon and in 1936 moved to Woodward.

She is survived by one son, Otto Charles (Bus) Canfield, Woodward and five daughters, Mrs. Cliff "Grace" Phillips, Mutual; Mrs. Robert (Myrtle) Cook, Montrose, Colo; Mrs. John (Della) Anthem, Mrs. Virgil (Delean) Bellows, Farnsworth, and Mrs. Mildred Dennett, Woodward, One sister, Mrs. Ruby Fisher, Guthrie, OK, 24 grandchildren, and 55 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.

Amanda's services were in Stecher Mortuary chapel, Woodward, OK. Officiating Rev Max A. Wolfe, Grandsons were Casket Bearers.
