Eugene E. Carver, 76-year-old Freedom resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007 at the Woodward Regional Hospital, Woodward.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Freedom Cemetery, Freedom, Okla., with Rev. Mark Kinkel of the Freedom Christian Church officiating. Services are under the direction of the Zwanziger Funeral Home.
Eugene was born to Edward H. and Bessie (Shurtz) Carver in Freedom on June 2, 1931. He attended Freedom High School, Freedom, Okla.; Eugene served proudly during the Korean conflict in the United States Army from Jan. 1, 1951 to Sept. 29, 1954. He was employed by Don Linger and Son as a welder and mechanic at Wichita, Kan. for many years. Eugene enjoyed being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister Normagene Wemett of Alvin, Texas, also by Merle and Ramona Burkhart, Freedom, Okla. and a host of family and friends and caregiver Deborah Page of Freedom, Okla.
