Graveside services for Anna Belle Casler, 67-year-old Woodward resident, will be Friday, February 4, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rock Church Cemetery north of Woodward. The Reverend Eric Cox and George Hammans will officiate. Services are under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service.
Anna Belle Casler was born May 10, 1932 at Vinita, Oklahoma to Charles and Sylvia (Gonser) Smith. She worked on the family farm and on June 1, 1963, married George Casler at Arnett, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward and in other northwest Oklahoma communities. She had worked at the State Hospital in Larned, Kansas and at Western State Psychiatric Center in Fort Supply.
Anna attended the Living Word Fellowship Church in Woodward, and was known to many as "Mom". She loved roses and being outdoors, but the joy of her life was her grand-children.
Mrs. Casler died February 1, 2000 at the Woodward Hospital and Health Center at the age of 67 years, eight months, two days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a half sister.
Anna is survived by her husband, George, of the home; five daughters, Rita Whitting, of California, Mary Hammans and her husband, Joy Wilma Evans and her husband, Rick and Marie Janzen and her husband Scott, all of Woodward and Rosie Jacobs and her husband, Phillip, of Tyrone, Kansas; a sister, Leona Glennie, of Woodward; a half brother, Bobby Smith, of Hugo, Oklahoma; a half sister, Ruby Hays of Hugo, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
