Graveside services for Martin J. Cassidy, 86 year old Woodward resident, will be held Friday, Feb.8, 2002, at 2 p.m. in the Gage Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Johnnie Sharpton will officiate. Arrnagements are under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Services of Woodward.

Martin Joseph Cassidy was born Nov. 28, 1915, to Martin and Carolyn (Seibel) Cassidy at Bayonne, NJ. He attended school and grew to manhood at Bayonne. Martin went to work for the Public Service Corporation of New Jersey as a bus driver. In 1941, he joined the U.S. Army and served his country during World War II. He was married to Elva Marie Scott at Riverside, Calif., and they made their home in New Jersey, wher Marty continued to drive buses for the transportation department.

After retiring in 1985, Martin and Elva made their home in Oklahoma. When Elva died in 2000, Marty made his home at the Grace Living Center in Woodward.

Mr. Cassidy died Feb. 4, 2002, at the Woodward Regional Hospital at the age of 86 years, two months and six days.

Other tan his wife, Martin was breceded in death by his parents and his sister, Caroline.

He is survived by two sisters, Marie Soldini of Monroe Township, NJ, and Florence Green of Lynchburg, TN; several neices and nephews and other relatives and friends.
