Father of City Resident Dies Saturday
Services for retired farmer and former Mooreland resident Marion J. Cook, 93, will held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Billings-Knittel Funeral Chapel with Jim Park, pastor of Mooreland and Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Mooreland cmemtery, under direction of Billings-Knittel.
Cook was born April 17 1881, in Lincoln county, Kans., and died Friday at Broken Arrow. He moved to Mooreland in 1944 and was married to Rosa Wylie, who preceded him in death in June 1974.
Survivors include a step-son Vernon Horn of Pawhuska; a step-daughter, Mrs. Mildred McCarty of Broken Arrow and one brother and three sisters.
