Marcia G. Cozens, 67-year-old Woodward resident, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2007 in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Blakley and the Rev. Randy Hodgson officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Marcia Gail Bogerd Cozens was born on Oct. 8, 1939 in Kinsley, Kan. to Robert Arthur and Virginia May (Eakins) Bogerd. Marcia was reared in Lewis and graduated from Lewis High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Warren Victor Cozens on Feb. 17, 1957 in Pratt, Kan. To this union they were blessed with three children, Lesa, Sherry, and Scott. Warren worked in the oilfield and the family moved to several different places before moving to Woodward in 1966. All of their children graduated from Woodward High School. Marcia stayed home raising children until 1971 when she went to work for Anita Brady at her accounting firm. The practice was sold to Derrel White and she continued working with him until her death. Marcia was preceded in death by her husband Warren in 1973.

Marcia was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her family, gardening and reading. She enjoyed sports especially Woodward Boomer Basketball. Marcia loved her dogs, they were very special to her.

She is survived by her mother, Virginia Bogerd of Kinsley, Kan.; one sister Betty Jo Kletecka of Albuquerque, N. M.; one brother Pete Bogerd of Lilburn, Ga.; daughter Lesa Cozens Dauphin and husband Marty of Fort Worth, Texas; one son Scott Cozens and wife Brenda of Woodward; daughter Sherry Cozens of Woodward; two grandchildren, Kevin Cozens and wife Kasey of Woodward; Casey Heidenreich and husband Chris of Carrollton, Texas; one great-grandson, Kolton Cozens; other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, her father Robert Bogerd, and her great-grandson Kollyn Scott Cozens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the First United Methodist Church Building Fund with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
