Betty L. Cullen, 77-year-old Woodward resident, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006 in the Elmwood Cemetery with Sam Fisher officiating. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Betty Lou (Taylor) Cullen was born Feb. 18, 1929 in Woodward, Okla. to Archie and Maude Mary (John) Taylor. Betty was raised in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1947. She worked for several years at Leslie Drug in Woodward. In the early 1960's, Betty married Mark Cullen and moved to Pawhuska where she worked at the city offices. They returned to Woodward, and Mark preceded her in death in 1977. Betty worked for the F.H.A. and later became Executive Director of the Woodward Senior Citizens Center. She retired from the Senior Citizens Center in April of 1999. Betty was a caring and loving lady who took care of her family and friends and will be missed by all. She is survived by her brother John L. Taylor of Lakewood, Washington; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Russell, Jack and Archie.
