Beulah Donley, 79-year-old Woodward resident died Friday, July 21, 2006 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Russell Duck officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Beulah Marie (Walker) Donley was born Oct. 16, 1926, west of Sharon to Fred Thomas and Hazel (Stoner) Walker. She grew up on the family farm and attended a rural country school. Later in life with her sisters she completed her GED. On Dec. 24, 1948, she married Homer Harold Donley in Clovis, N. M. They made their home in Woodward. To this union four children Vernetta, Patricia, Paula and Kyle were born. She worked with Homer during the years owning and operating the Donley Hog Market. Homer preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2003.

She was baptized when she was 12-years-old at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the Enterprise community and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodward. She belonged to Beta Sigma Phi and the Eastern Star.

Besides being a mother and wife, she enjoyed family gatherings, sewing, knitting, crocheting and other crafts.

She is survived by four children, one son Kyle Donley of Woodward; three daughters, Vernetta (Nita) Rittenhouse of Elk City; Paula Harmon and husband Jerry of Woodward; Patti Welch of Sterling; seven grandchildren, Jeff and Paula Franks, Brian and Rachelle Luckett, Kim and Chris Long, Blake Luckett, Hadlee Harmon, Chase and Landan Welch; 10 great grandchildren, Devin Franks, Ava Long, Curtis Emberson, Lily Luckett, Joshua Franks, Christopher and Stacey Franks, Christina Franks, Kelby Franks, Kalei and Brayden Nixon; one sister, Ruby Parsons of Woodward and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by, three brothers, one sister, two grandchildren, Ronnie Franks and Brent Luckett.
