Isabella Robinson Dorbandt passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 at her home in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home, Woodward.

Isabella Robinson Dorbandt was born on Jan. 6, 1926 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Harry and Hazel (Kendrick) Gaunt. She was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. She entered the St. Anthony Cadet Nurse Corps program and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1947. She married and made her life with E.W. "Dub" Robinson on June 12, 1948 at Capital Hill Christian Church in Oklahoma City. They made their home in Oklahoma City and to this union one daughter was born, Marsha. After Dub’s death, Isabella married Robert Dorbandt in 1970, they made their home in Las Cruces, N. M. During her life, she enjoyed working as a registered nurse, singing in the Oklahoma City Sweet Adelines and loved reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two brothers and two sisters, one of whom was a special sister, Jackie Belew, of Woodward.

She is survived by her daughter Marsha Hoock and husband Tom of Woodward; two brothers, Glen Swenson and wife Barbara of Edmond; Rex Gaunt of Apple Valley, Calif.; one sister, Elwyenna Woelke of Enid; her grandchildren, Heath Hoock and wife Staci and Morgan Newby and husband Gerald, three great-grandchildren Hayden Hoock, Peyton Newby, Darian Murlin and nine nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her late husband‚s children, Robert Dorbandt II of N. M.; Dee Miller and husband Gary of Hawaii; Larry Dorbandt; Edward Dorbandt and wife Jan of Las Cruces, N. M. and Debbie Burch and husband David of Dallas, Texas and their families.

Memorials may be made to the Children and Youth Ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Woodward with the Billings Funeral Home accepting the memorials.
