Ronald F. Elwood, 87 ear old retired farmer of Wichita, and former Mooreland resident, died Friday in Wichita. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Mooreland Cemetery with the Rev. Cal Hunter, pastor of the First Baptist Church n Mooreland, officiating. Services are being conducted by the Billings Funeral Home of Mooreland.

Ronald Forest Elwood was born August 5, 1897 in Sutton, Neb. In 1910, he moved to a farm north of Mooreland with is parents. He attended country schools in the Mooreland area. He farmed northwest of Mooreland until he moved to Wichita in the late 1940s.

He issurvived by one son, Roland Dixon Elwood, Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Melvin Elwood, Mooreland, Kenneth Elwood, Liberal, Kans.; Neil Elwood, Hartner, Kans.; one sister, Mrs. Flossie VanWinkle, Worba Linda, Calif; one sister in law Mrs. Mae Elwood, Mooreland, six grandchildren.
